The dogwoods are almost gone. They are not quite as white as they were in their prime, plus you can see a lot more green leaves on the branches. Gorgeous while they last though, huh? But, as some things begin to wither and fade others start to open up. Yay!

What’s out your front door?
Thankfully the person who built the house across the street from us many moons ago, planted these pink dogwoods. They are just beautiful and I always look forward to them blooming in the Spring. There’s something to be said about staying in the same house for 35+ years–especially across from a house with such gorgeous …

Whenever we go to the house in NC, Tommy has to be doing something. Here he comes from cutting firewood that we will use for the next winter or two: This, of course, makes Bubba and me happy so we can do more of this:
Blueberries & Dogwoods
The blueberries and dogwoods in our yard are really looking pretty right now. I love how green the dogwoods are when they first start opening, especially knowing how brilliantly white they eventually turn. While the blueberries are pretty, I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten to taste them–the birds love them.
I can’t wait!
Until this: turns into this: or this: turns into this: And I have to say, Happy Birthday Tommy!
