I think that I prefer the dogwoods like this better than wide open and very white. They seem to have more depth to them. That’s not to say that they aren’t perfectly beautiful when they are fully open. 
And then there are the ants. These guys bite me all the time. A lot of times when I’m shooting macro I’m kneeling or lying on the ground and they are all over me. I usually end up with whelps from their bites. The things I go through for my art. Ha! :)
