This past Wednesday, Tommy and I along with my Aunt Alline and Uncle Bob went to see the Rome Braves play. The Rome Braves are the single A farm team for the Atlanta team. The kids (I say that because they are probably 18, 19 or 20 years old) that play here are hoping to make it to the big league. The stadium is great and no matter where you sit you have a good seat. You really feel like you’re right there with them. But watch out if a foul ball is hit your way because you don’t have much time to react. Anyway, the game we went to was a 1:00 p.m. game. The attendance that day was only about 2,000 people. It was a beautiful day, the company was good, the ice cream (Mayfield’s of course) was yummy and the Braves won!
When we stood to sing during the 7th inning stretch, the camera guy showed up and put us on the big screen.
