This is a flame azalea right before it opens. It reminds me of little baby bird heads looking for something to eat.Here’s one of the purple rhododendrons Tommy and I bought two years ago. It’s the first time we’ve been able to see it bloom. It is so pretty!

This picture was taken about 7:00 a.m. today. It was beautiful!
Done–at least for a bit!
We still have some things to do–touch-up paint, install the can lights in the kitchen area and paint the ceiling. But, I’m pretty pleased in how it’s turned out. I really love the new floor and the beadboard.

Another update!
We only have the crown moulding to add and then we can put the furniture back in. Of course there still is some bit of touch up to be done. (This picture sure makes the breakfast room look really, really tiny.) The fabric on the chair is what I found to cover the seat cushions.

Tommy really is working here–not just sitting on his butt! This one piece of beadboard had to be glued to the wall and not nailed. So after gluing, he had to hold the beadboard to the wall for 15 minutes. Mind you, he wasn’t complaining.We still need to put up the base moulding, toe moulding …

Hail we’re having a good time!
I have never seen hail as large as this that just came down at Julian & Sue’s. The hail is between ping pong and golf ball size. Julian and Tommy went out and checked the cars–unfortunately Sue’s sunroof is broken.
The work (other than some painting) has begun. Before we start to put down the new ceramic tile, we have to replace the sliding glass door. You know that things can’t go smoothly, don’t you? What should have been an easy job (easy for me to say) of swapping out the old for the new, …
