I had received an email recently regarding the Southeastern Flower Show photography competition. The email was a reminder that the deadline was coming up and to get those submissions in. I had been thinking about it for a couple of weeks and wasn’t too confident that any of the images would be good enough to go up against others–this is a competition for professionals and amateurs. Finally, I said what the heck and submitted four photos. The process is that you can submit up to twelve images. Then all of the images submitted are prejudged. The remaining photos go into the final judging. When I checked my email this morning I had the following:
“We are happy to inform you that one or more of your images has been selected for display at the Southeastern Flower Show in February, 2011. 750 images were uploaded as part of the competition from 108 photographers. From this number, only 106 images could be selected due to the space available to us for the photography display.”
Three of the four that I had submitted were chosen! YAY!! I’m so excited. :)
Great job!
I so enjoy your photos. I know nothing about photography, but you have the gift of seeing items that most people take for granted and don’t really see the beauty.
Congrats on having your photos selected!
Way to go Kerry!!! I’ll be going to the flower show!!
Yay!! That’s awesome.
They are ALL beautiful & I love sending out the note cards to my friends. They are so special & you should be so proud of yourself!!
