Some high school friends and I had planned on getting together at our house in NC. I kept expecting something to happen and someone, if not everyone, wouldn’t be able to make it. Lo and behold, we all met at the assigned time (give 15-20 minutes) in town to have lunch together at the Hobnob restaurant. Lunch was delicious and so much fun. After we had eaten we got our waiter to take a picture of the five of us.
We then headed up the hill to the house, drank wine, ate a delicious dinner thanks to Denise and Diane, and talked and talked! Saturday morning we had a leisurely breakfast and I then took the girls up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stopped at the Devil’s Courthouse for a group shot.
I had planned on driving over to the Pisgah Inn but we were waved over by a guy on the side of the road. He said that there had been a bad motorcycle accident just past where we were and a helicopter was on its way to get the injured person. So we turned around and headed back to the house.
Patti’s huband, Kenny, showed up to keep Tommy company. He brought their new rescue dog, Gus. What a love he is–Gus, not Kenny. :)

How special it was to have these girls visit for the weekend! I thoroughly enjoyed the time with them and hope we can do it again.
