Saturday morning we got up and Chris took us to the Bamboo Farm & Coastal Gardens where she volunteers. We missed the camelias, irises (there were just a couple still in bloom) and roses blooming. But found a few other things.
This is where we lost Aunt Alline. I’m not sure if she was taste testing or shopping, or both. I heard she went to the sample table several times! She said she was shopping for others and came out with a big bag. OK, we didn’t really lose Aunt Alline, but it seems like she was in the candy store for a long time.
Heading up from River Street up to where the car was parked, I saw this. I’m not sure if these were tunnels or what and didn’t go look as the elevator was calling. But I thought it was pretty neat (old)!
We next headed to Tybee Island. I had never been to Tybee and enjoyed it. Aunt Alline and Sue climbed to the top of the lighthouse while Chris and I walked over to the beach.
I had a great time with Sue, Aunt Alline and Chris. I would really like to go back and visit Savannah again, but it will have to be during cooler weather.
