Until Amanda had moved to Wyoming, I had never seen a Columbine. The ones we did see when we visited her were those up in the Snowy Range. They were a very pale purple and white–very pretty. Then Amanda and Evan got married and bought a house next to George and Nancy who have some gorgeous Columbines. I was thrilled, however it was really hard to get pictures of them as the wind blows continually in Wyoming. Nancy was nice enough to offer us as many seeds as we wanted to take home with us. We weren’t really sure that they would grow here but we’ve had some success.
